This website combines our own mountain knowledge and also draws on a wide range of reference books and guidebooks.

We have also pooled together a vast number of photographic images from our own photo library as well as from other sources.

Photographs are included from eminent and world-renowned outdoor photographers to provide our customers with the best possible perspective of the UK mountaineering environment.

A special thanks needs to be said for the contribution of Bill Birkett whose superb book 'Great British Ridge Walks' has been the inpiration behind our Wilderness Mountain walks.

Here we have taken selective walks and descriptions from the book which also feature in our Lake District Ridge Walks.
