Three Peaks Challenge

The Mountain Adventures 3 Peaks Challenge is designed to complete the ascent of the three highest peaks in Britain - Ben Nevis in Scotland, Snowdon in Wales and Scafell Pike in England - in just 24 hours. We can organise a range of team building and charity fundraising events based around the National 3 Peaks Challenge. It is a non-technical mountain challenge that is tough and physically demanding. Ideally preparation training should start 2 to 3 months prior to the event. With the correct preparation this challenge is achievable for anyone with thorough advance preparation and the right mental attitude.

There is much media coverage about the environmental impact of this event and the effect on local communities due to the high volume of traffic on the mountains. As a result, we operate a small group policy that has been specifically designed to minimise the environmental impact of this increasingly popular event.

3 Peaks Challenge Options

1) Budget Price – for cost conscious private groups and charity fundraising organisations

2) Standard Quality - for corporate and private groups wanting to keep costs down

3) Premium Quality – for corporate groups and more discerning private groups

4) Transport Only – for groups organising the different apsects of the event themselves

5) 3 Peaks Over 3 Days –  for those who want to do the event at a slower pace which allows them to enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery

6) Winter 3 Peaks (can be done as budget or premium package) – for the more experienced walkers or those up for a more hardcore challenge

All of the above events can be structured to individual requirements. Choose your own difficulty level by selecting one of the following options below:

Option 1

  • 24 hour challenge ascent and descent - climb and return to vehicle on all 3 peaks within the 24 hours, includes all eating, toilet stops and driving time. There’s no time to waste with this one so make sure you’ve done your training!

Option 2

  • 24 Hour Challenge Summit to Summit – finish the event on the last summit to take the pressure off slightly. We know getting to the top is the hard part so why have to hurry to get back down as soon as you’ve reached the summit. Gives you time to bask in the glory of your achievement!

Option 3

  • 14 Hour Challenge – Get judged on the walking part of the challenge only. The time will be counted for each peak as you set off walking and stopped once you finish each descent. This then allows for 10 hours of driving time between the peaks but does not take into account any unforeseen delays such as traffic congestion or road accidents.
